Donations

Bridewell raises much of its funding through charitable trusts, voluntary donations and fundraising events. If you would like to make a donation by post then please download our Donation Form click to download(92KB) and return this to the office.

Volunteers

Volunteers are an essential part of the work of Bridewell Organic Gardens. They bring new perspectives, differing life experiences and a wide range of, sometimes specialist, skills to our organisation.

The presence of volunteers increases the variety of relationships available to gardeners and enables us to improve our delivery of a quality service.

Volunteers also help to promote public awareness of Bridewell.

At the moment we have about fifteen volunteers who regularly give their time to Bridewell. The work that they undertake is mainly with the gardeners, either in the garden, the vineyard or driving our minibus, with most of them committing one day per week.

In addition we have a number of other volunteers who support us at events such as our Open Day, these people are our Friends of Bridewell. They support us by fundraising (coffee mornings, quiz nights, car boot sales, etc) or preparing the garden, baking cakes, organising raffle prizes and so on. At the events they run stalls, act as ushers, serve food, etc.

We are always keen to hear from new volunteers so if you are interested in being part of our innovative organisation then please contact us on 01993 864530 (office) or 01993 868313 (garden) or by email at info@bridewellorganicgardens.co.uk

Membership

Bridewell Organic Gardens operates a membership scheme for individuals over 18 and organisations that would like to support the work of the charity. As well as supporting Bridewell financially, becoming a member entitles you to a vote at our AGM and to stand for election to the Management Committee. Member organisations can nominate one person to vote at the AGM.

Current membership fees are £10 for waged individuals, organisations, £2 for unwaged individuals and £25 for organisations.

If you would like to become a member then please download a Membership form click to download (824KB)

Trustees

As with other charities we are run by a board of Trustees to whom the management team reports. We are always keen to hear from people who may be interested in supporting our work by becoming a Trustee. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have personal experience of using mental health services of any kind or who have fundraising experience.

If you think that you have the skills and experience to help then please contact our Chair of Trustees, Janet Maxwell via the office.

We operate a sponsored vine scheme to help us with the running costs of the organisation.

Each vine costs £5 to sponsor and these donations go towards our day to day costs.

If you would like to make a donation by sponsoring a vine then please download our sponsor form click to download(235KB)
